SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP
You are warmly invited to join us for worship on Sunday mornings at 10am. We hold a traditional but informal style of worship which includes congregational style singing usually accompanied by the piano or sometimes the pipe organ, Bible readings, prayers and teaching or reflection. There are activities for children provided at the back of the service and we usually hold communion on the first Sunday of the month. Please refer to the diary on the home page for the schedule of worship leaders and other events in the diary.
If you have any questions please call the office or email. Details are on the Contact Us Page.

Supporting people living with dementia through a relaxed and informal support group for those living with dementia and their carers.
'Moments’ started in 2015 after awareness grew of the many who live with the challenges of dementia who remain in their own homes. Relatives who provide 24 hour care for them were often found to be overwhelmed by the task and many times in desperate need for support.
‘Moments’ seeks to offer space for a self-support group, along with activities for those living with dementia. Carers often take the opportunity to leave their loved ones in the group and go elsewhere for a couple of hours respite, confident that their loved ones are being supported, challenged and entertained by appropriate activities in a safe environment. A community of friendly and supportive people has developed who are ready and willing to welcome in newcomers.
Every Monday 10.00am - 12.00pm in the Activity Room and Café at Solihull United Reformed Church.
Please phone Elaine Jones for information on 07707621701 or email [email protected].

We sing each Thursday from 2 pm to 3 pm. We sing in four parts (SATB) usually, covering a wide range of secular and religious settings; ranging from Pop, Folk and more serious music. New members are always made welcome. It is a social occasion as much as musical and there is much humour and repartee. Afterwards we have tea and a natter, which usually takes another 30 minutes. A small charge is made to cover our costs.
We have occasional Home Groups which meet together during seasons of the year for friendship, discussion and prayer. We encourage everyone to explore which group might be right for them as these are the best way to get to know people in a home setting and find support in your new, or on-going, Christian faith. For more information about the groups and to find out when and where they are meeting please use the church contact page or call the office.
We are delighted to have built up a good relationship with a local primary school taking lessons and offering advice and support for staff with their RE curriculum. We have been involved with a Creative Arts Week in the past offering cross-curricular activities with art and RE. At Christmas we have been invited to tell the story and work with various year groups, and at Easter we have worked with all the classes from the 2 year-old preschool children, through to the top year group. Most recently we have been in at other times to lead lessons.
Generations Project – Sharing God’s Love through Activities, Word, Touch and Song
Generations Outreach (CTCS project) aims to offer a wide spread of different activities including Worship and Pastoral Care within Care Homes and Sheltered Accommodation. Amongst those resident in local care homes are many who have led lives of faithful Christian discipleship and those who have had little church contact, for many the traditional hymns will resonate in their memories.
This work has obviously been limited by the Covid Pandemic but homes are beginning to open up again now with various safety measures in place.

We work with, and support, Solihull Churches Action on Homelessness in Solihull. We host their storage, and meetings, and some of our members undertake voluntary work with them. Further information can be found on their website.
We are always looking for ways to support the chaplaincy at Solihull Hospital with the hospital being just across the road from us. We have hosted a carol concert for the Friends of Solihull Hospital charity in the past. Our Singing for Pleasure group are looking for opportunities to go into the wards when invited to support the chaplaincy clergy there.
We are members of Churches Together in Central Solihull and Churches Together in Olton. We take part in many of the activities and events that these groups organise which are often specifically associated with special seasons of the church year but not always.
We are delighted to host a bimonthly prayer meeting of Churches Together in Central Solihull in our café. This is open to all and attended by at least one representative from nearly all the churches in Central Solihull and some of their clergy. We catch up on news from the local churches while we enjoy our own packed lunches and then pray over the various joys, matters and concerns which have been raised. Meeting on the third Wednesday, alternate months at 12.30pm for, usually, a little over an hour. Please feel free to ask about the date of the next meeting and come along and join us.
